Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
James 1:27

We had a great week!! It started last Sunday when Toby got to go to "Big Boy Class" with Braden and Corrin because he is now potty trained! YES! He had so much fun, and as you can see...Braden couldn't wait to have his Toby friend with him.

Miss Sharon brought in a hamster, and the kids loved it! Toby thought it was so "funny". We are so excited he is in Sunday school now, except a little sad that he is growing up so fast! But I do have to say, the bright side of things is I now have a fridge with crafts from my own kid hanging on it.
After church, Grandma Randa and Papu (Greg) flew in from Spokane! We had not seen them since May, but Toby recognized and loved on them right away. He has a very special place in his heart for his grandma and grandpa. We decided to go to Telluride on Monday and ride the gondola and look at the colors changing in the mountains. It was a beautiful day. We took Toby down by the river so he could do his favorite thing in the world.......Throw rocks!

As we were getting in the car that night, I totally forgot my manners and got in the front seat and left Papu to sit in the back with Toby and Grandma Randa. I didn't even notice something was wrong until Greg started grunting and groaning climbing in the car. After a long time of apologizing, and trying to switch places with him, he insisted on riding in the back seat till we got home. Good thing it wasn't very far.

Went to the Park!!

Toby found a friend!

Another great thing about our week, was we got to see and spend time with Grandma Pat!!! All the girls and kids in our family went to lunch, and shockingly, having five kids all under the age of five, everyone did great......and remained calm!

We drove to Pueblo, Colorado for Jared's football game on Friday. The colors in the mountains were awesome, as you'll see later on. We were very blessed that Greg and Randa got to see one of Jared's games, and they even won, which was an even greater blessing! It was a close game, 22/21, we barely won! Then we all spent the night in Pueblo, and went to Garden of the gods in Colorado Springs the next day. We hiked around a little bit, and then when Toby got tired we started our journey back to MOntrose.

Jared, coaching from the side lines.

Love my grandma Randa!

So Glad to be home!
We had a blessed week, and we love our Grandma Randa and Papu, and are sad to see them leave tomorrow :(. But we know there are many more adventures with them to come. Our week this week might be a little lonelier, but we will get through it!

We are so blessed to have Grandma Pat here in cold Colorado!!!!! She did it..She finally flew out here this year!! And she gets to hold baby Elora, who weighs almost 10 pounds and three weeks old!!!
" I am content to be in my great Grandma Pat's arms!!! Since my mom was the favorite of my grandma...maybe I will get to be GREAT favorite!!!" :)
"Don't be talking about my chunk...I'll tell my grandma (s) on you!"

Just missing Jared :(
Spaghetti Time

Woke up this morning to beautiful snowy mountains and cloud cover. I must say, I am the only one in our family who is excited for winter. I am already listening to Christmas music with Toby, and already planning in my head what I want my house to look like decorated this year. I know.....it's too soon, but at least I'll be prepared!
Went to the Montrose High School home coming parade to watch our favorite coach, Coach Lee :), and our favorite fan, Toby Lee, ride in the fire truck with the football team! I had to wake Toby from his nap a bit earlier so he could be apart of this spectacular Montrose event, and I only got him to stop being cranky by telling him he would get to ride in a fire truck and honk the horn! So the whole way to the parade I hear.."Momma, I get to ride in fire truck? Momma, I get to ride in fire truck? (repeat..repeat..repeat...) you get the picture. Finally we got there and Jared took him to with the team before I could give my little fan a kiss. He was so excited! His first homecoming parade.....maybe in a few years he will get to ride that truck as a football quarterback! We'll see......

In case you're wondering why I have a picture of RANDOM girls on a float, the one in the gray hoodie, waving is Emily Veenstra...she is Toby's on call babysitter when family is busy. She is also one of the manager's for the football team! Toby, and Jared and I, love her!!!
And here's my Toby....loving the attention from all the fans!!!!

Today was a good day for the Lee family. We started the morning with Jared taking Toby to work, while I got to have coffee with my awesome mother and really good friend from childhood, Rachel Dorman, and her mother. It was so nice to have an hour break from potty training, but I do have to say, Toby is doing better each day. Mid-day Toby had therapy with Miss Beth....his favorite. He climbed up a latter, with help, and got Clifford down from his spot on the shelf, and pushed him up a ramp. He then pushed Clifford back down the ramp, and watched him crash into the wall. I believe his words were.."Cwifford....you otay?"
After we made sure "Cwifford" was ok, Beth had to check out his feet and legs to make sure his muscles are not getting tight. And Praise the Lord, they are just fine right now :). They then made their way over to the foam pit, where he is thrown in and forced to climb his way out. It really isn't as bad as it sounds.....Toby LOVES it. Beth even threw balls at him to make him lose his balance.....but as you can see in the pic below, he LOVES it!

Popsicles at Lita and Lito's

So for those of you who have no clue about football.....it has started already! For us, it goes on all year. Jared is the wide receivers coach for our High School Varsity team. They have won their first two games, and hopefully continue their winning streak tomorrow night. It's a pretty busy life being a husband, dad, youth pastor, radio station manager, and a football coach. Needless to say, we are in a season of life where Jared is not around too much, but God is good, and we know He is using Jared in the community to further the kingdom of God. Whenever Jared comes home now from his busy days, our son gets so excited to talk to his daddy. And if you are not familiar with our son, he actually is a great companion to have a conversation with. When Jared walks through the door, the first thing out of Toby's mouth is.."Dad, you at football practice?" And let me just tell you....that makes Jared's day! FINALLY he has someone to talk about football with.
And finally..the end of our day...like I said before, it was a great one!

Went for a walk the other day, and we actually got Corrin to smile! So now, this is a keepsake picture. Fun with Cousins!
We love baby Elora!
We call her our Chunk-a-munk!!
Went to Telluride today! It was absolutely beautiful. It's still warm, no color change yet, but beautiful. There is just something about getting outdoors and admiring God's creation, and spending time with family.
Toby loves the Gondola ride. All he kept saying was, "Ride the gondida, momma, I want to ride the gondida." He doesn't quite get the "L" pronunciation yet. We're working on that!

 Throwing rocks in the river....

Here he is in the "gondida" again.....

Smelling the flowers :)

We are in Tucson Arizona right now at a Pastors'/Leaders' conference. It has been a huge blessing to be in God's word for the past three days with amazing Bible teachers. The Lord has already taught us so much and we are excited to start applying everything to our daily lives.
We have also had a blast being in the HEAT!!! Andrea called and said it snowed in Montrose yesterday...and we feel bad, but not bad enough....we had to tell her its 80 degrees here!! Oh...we are loving it.
The day before we left for Arizona, Serah decided it would be a good idea to give Little C a little pampering. So she called me up and asked if i would paint her nails. Well, I thought to myself...piece of cake! How hard can it be to paint a toddler's toe nails? Um...let me ask you..have you ever tried it? I should have considered the fact that no one year old is going to sit contectly for over two minouts, but we did it, and with a few smuges...she looked adorable!
We also decided..if we pampered Corrin...then we should do something manly for our own son before the trip...what better than to let him do pull ups and get buff arms!!! It is funny, ever since Toby began to walk EVRYWHERE he really is turning out to be a bruiser!

Getting ready with daddy is his favorite thing to do in the morning. We put gel in his hair and dressed him for Arizona weather. However, we didn't plan on finding a water fountain that all the kids could play in at a nearby mall. So Toby's hair got worked and his clothes got all wet, but the Lord reminded Jared and I again of how good He is when we get to see Toby running and splashing with his cousins in the water! It really is a blessing.

They had so much fun! And believe it or not..there were no potty accidents..Praise the Lord!

We had to get Gelatto while we were down here. Nobody has Gelatto in Colorado!! It was so good...and as you will get to see in the next few photos..the kids might have ahd a little too much. They were playing some sort of running game, and then of coarse we had to stop them because they kept falling. It was great!

We are still in Tucson, so as more comes...we will blog!
