We are so blessed to have Grandma Pat here in cold Colorado!!!!! She did it..She finally flew out here this year!! And she gets to hold baby Elora, who weighs almost 10 pounds and three weeks old!!!

" I am content to be in my great Grandma Pat's arms!!! Since my mom was the favorite of my grandma...maybe I will get to be GREAT favorite!!!" :)

"Don't be talking about my chunk...I'll tell my grandma (s) on you!"

Why Ethiopia?

A Unicef report states that in Ethiopia there are at this moment 4.5 million orphans on a population of some 90 million. The 4.5 million means that 5 percent of the total population is an orphan. Orphans are in Ethiopia defined as children under 18 whose both parents died. They died of AIDS, untreated illnesses, hunger, draught and war. There are about 2.5 million children with disabilities. Ethiopia counts one of the largest populations of orphans in the world: 13 per cent of children throughout the country are missing one or both parents. This represents an estimated 4.6 million children – 800,000 of whom were orphaned by HIV/AIDS.
